Advancing Renewables in the Midwest Lawrence Lile will speak at the Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference April 6 and 7 about the Central Missouri Habitat for Humanity Zero Energy House. This innovative, low cost home is projected to offset 100% of its energy use over a year’s time using solar electric and solar hot water. Utilizing superinsulation, high efficiency mechanical systems, LED lighting and energy star appliances, the home is a model of energy efficiency, yet is very affordable. Construction cost was less than $135,000.
