Lawrence Lile was a consultant on a project with the Missouri National Guard. The Macon National Guard training site is an award-winning facility that trains personnel while being careful stewards of the natural environment. The Field Maintenance Shop helps troops learn how to maintain the complex engines and equipment that the military uses, often large earthmoving or transport vehicles.
Designed with innovative aspirating solar thermal collectors, the facility obtains free heat during sunny winter days from a large rooftop solar collector array.  Achieving LEED Gold, Lile assisted the contractor in achieving a number of LEED credits including FSC Certified Wood, Indoor Air Quality Management during Construction, Recycled and Local content.
